Rehearsal 9/11

Everyone	Acknowledge each other in passing.  Shake hands, pat people on back, stop to visit. BE REAL PEOPLE Work on exiting and entering.  Be different from everyone else.  Have a purpose about why you are entering and exiting.  Everyone must have a reason. MAKE IT UP. NO SCRIPTS ON STAGE TUESDAY AT 5. Some people kneel at the river.  Google pictures of how Christians worship. Don’t make any noise when mouthing words. Thanks to Brooklyn, at rehearsal Tuesday, we will use a drum to signal when to be quiet and slow mo and when to be loud and fast motion. Look at these drowning scenes on You Tube –
Everyone	Beginning o   Sit up - Ooh,Ooh, it’s a long way down, a long way down o   Stand up -Check the cupboard for your daddy’s gun o   Buddy falls in (Red sun rises like an early warning) o   Mom jumps in - The Lord’s gonna come for your first born son o   Mom saves Buddy -His hair’s on fire and his heart is burning. o   Mom gets tangled in the sea weed - Go to the river where the water runs o   River people encircle Mom – Left stage dances off right. Right Stage dances off left with Mom. o   Everyone off stage by And if you fall.... And if you fall.... o   People who are in the next scene need to exit on the side of the stage of their next entrance.
Everyone	Ending Page 26 – He’s breathin’ CC – Would you listen to me? Buddy goes under – SLOW MO & SILENCE – CC is  yelling at crowd slo mo & silently.  People are singing slo mo and silently. Buddy screams MaMA – people stop singing and are scared.  Hear people noises of terror panic. Some are crying.  CC jumps in. Jennie Mae Screams – Buddy Buddy goes under – on top people are crying praying SILENTLY in SLO MO. Norma is saying the Lord’s prayer.  Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name Norma is doing this with different tempos and feverishly. CC searches.  Buddy is fighting the current.  CC feels along the sides & bursts out.  People are crying shouting. Norma is praying loudly. .CC gasps loudly Thy Kingdom come. Jennie Mae – my brother   Buddy CC goes back under & searches. SILENT & SLO MO People are crying, praying, etc. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, CC Brings buddy up. Ferris is led by Dewey onstage.  CC is gasping The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. BEAT Amen. People clasp each other, some still on knees crying. Ferris and Jennie Mae cover Buddy. Ferris	More emotion in your voice – I can’t take the boys screaming – frustrated and yelling. Be conflicted
Melvin	Use emotion and be loud.  You are not a fixture on the ladder, but a person who is concerned and thinks a higher place to be will give you advantage over the weather.
